Patricia Murphy's Irish Toast, the 2009 Washington Broodmare of the Year, has been pensioned and will spend her retirement time at her owner's Time Wise Farm near La Center in the Evergreen State.

The 22-year-old mare's final foals were bred in partnership with Rick and Debbie Pabst.

Irish Toast, who was twice stakes-placed racing as a homebred for Murphy, produced state champions The Great Face and Atta Boy Roy  , both graded stakes winners. By Cahill Road, The Great Face was 2007 Washington Horse of the Year. Atta Boy Roy, by Tribunal, was a three-time state champion.

Irish Toast (SynastryBix's Bet,  by Just the Time) is the dam of six other winners.
