Understatement

Understatement, a dual stakes-winning son of Distorted Humor   and $1,050,000 Keeneland September yearling, has been retired to stallion duty at Oakhurst Thoroughbreds in Newburg, Oregon.

His 2013 stud fee will be $1,000.

Understatement earned a Beyer Speed Figure of 115 for his victory in the 2010 Evening Attire Stakes at Aqueduct Racetrack. He also won that year's Stymie Stakes and placed third in the 2011 Excelsior Stakes (gr. III), both races also at Aqueduct.

Out of the Capote mare Emotional Outburst, Understatement is a half brother to Roar Emotion, a filly that won the 2003 Black-Eyed Susan Stakes (gr. II).
