Wintergreen Stallion Station announced Jan. 2 that Sean Feld, formerly of Spendthrift Farm near Lexington, has been named managing director of Bullet Train, LLC.

Group winner Bullet Train   is a half-brother to the sensational European racehorse Frankel. He will stand his first season at Wintergreen in 2013 for a stud fee of $7,500.

Bullet Train and Frankel are out of the Danehill mare Kind and both are from the same sire line. Bullet Train is by the great Sadler's Wells, and Frankel is by a son of Sadler's Wells, leading Irish stallion Galileo.

Feld, 26, is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in agricultural economics. He will be responsible for all aspects of the management of Bullet Train and will work in conjunction with Wintergreen.

"Sean is a highly respected member of the Thoroughbred racing and breeding community and we are delighted to have his extensive sales experience and keen industry awareness with us at Wintergreen," said the Stallion Station's owner, John Greely IV. "We think Bullet Train is going to be an important stallion for Kentucky and Sean will enhance his chances for success."
