Nicanor, Barbaro's Full Brother, to Shamrock

Nicanor  , a stakes-placed full brother to Kentucky Derby (gr. I) winner Barbaro, will enter stud at Shamrock Farm near Woodbine, Md. He is owned by Roy and Gretchen Jackson's Lael Stables and will stand in 2013 for $2,500.

By Dynaformer, 6-year-old Nicanor compiled a record of 4-2-2 from 18 starts and earnings of $147,697 as a Lael Stables' homebred. He ran third in the 2010 Sussex Stakes at Delaware Park and the Three Coins Up Stakes (on turf) at Aqueduct.

Out of the grade II stakes-placed Carson City mare La Ville Rouge, Nicanor also is a full brother to stakes winner Lentenor   and stakes-placed Margano and a half brother to stakes winner Holy Ground.
