Retired jockey Richard Migliore will host the New York Racing Association's eighth "New Owners Luncheon" at Aqueduct Racetrack Dec. 16.

According to NYRA, the program was initiated at Belmont Park in 2011 to provide a comprehensive introduction and overview of Thoroughbred ownership in an effort to bring new owners to horse racing.

The event, which costs $50, will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast, followed by presentations and Q&A sessions with trainers Mike Hushion and Gary Contessa, owner Marty Cunningham, equine accountant Andre Moglia, state steward Stephen Lewandowski, and representatives from the racing partnerships Drawing Away Stable and West Point Thoroughbreds.

Participants can also meet jockeys, trainers and owners, visit the paddock, and be part of a winner's circle trophy presentation.
