Northern Indy  , a stakes-winning, graded stakes-placed son of A.P. Indy, will stand in 2013 at Paradise Road Ranch near Lathrop, Calif. His fee is $3,000 live foal.

Northern Indy, a winner at 2, 3, and 4 for Highland Yard LLC, scored his biggest win in the Hasta La Vista Handicap at 1 7/8 miles on turf. He ran second in the Canadian Derby (Can-III) at 1 3/8 miles and third in the Seattle Slew Handicap. He was retired with a record of 3-1-1 from 18 starts and earnings of $133,407.

Four-year-old Northern Indy is out of the winning Polish Numbers mare Polish Nana, a half sister to three stakes winners including grade II winner and young sire Love of Money.

"It is rare to have the option to breed to a sire that has this impeccable combination of stamina and a classic pedigree and Northern Indy will fill a large niche for California horsemen wanting to breed away from sheer speed," said Lindsay LaRoche, principal of Highland Yard.
