Stormy Atlantic to Stand for $30,000

Stormy Atlantic  , sire of 13 stakes winners in 2012, will stand the 2013 breeding season for $30,000 (stands and nurses). Stormy Atlantic, who holds court at Hill 'n' Dale Farms near Lexington, currently ranks second on the turf sires' list and 12th on the general sires' list with $6.5 million in earnings.

"Ever since his first Kentucky crop hit the track in 2006, Stormy Atlantic has ranked among the top 15 sires in North America," said John G. Sikura, president of Hill 'n' Dale. "Over the past seven years, only Giant's Causeway  , Smart Strike  , and Distorted Humor   can also make this claim."

Stormy Atlantic is by Storm Cat of the Seattle Slew mare Hail Atlantis.
