Aqueduct's stewards fined jockey Roberto Villafan $500 Sunday for misjudging the finish of Aqueduct's second race Saturday.

In the one mile and 70 yards maiden claiming race, Villafan's mount, Gold N Fancy, closed from the back of the pack to finish second by a neck at odds of 55-1. Gold N Fancy "angled to the inside for the drive and finished gamely, in spite of (her) rider misjudging the finish line," according to Equibase charts.

Saturday's race marked the first time in six starts that Marcus and Hortense Vogel's homebred daughter of Rhythm hit the board. It was also her first time racing beyond seven furlongs.

Second betting choice Grand V., a 3-year-old daughter of Keep Dreaming, notched the win for My Jean Marie Stable and trainer Dominick Schettino.
