Latent Heat to River Oaks in Oklahoma Schumer Bloodstock and Bradley Thoroughbred Brokerage have arranged a deal to send 9-year-old stallion Latent Heat from Woods Edge Farm near Lexington to River Oaks Farm near Sulphur, Okla. A fee will be announced later. Latent Heat (Maria's Mon—True Flare, by Capote) won the 2006 Malibu Stakes (gr. I) over a field that included champion Midnight Lute , Da Stoops, Brother Derek , Arson Squad, and Spring At Last . He also won the San Carlos Handicap (gr. II) and finished his racing career with earnings of $450,400. Latent Heat moves into the second spot on the Oklahoma leading sires' list with progeny earnings of more than $1.5 million in 2012. His current runners include graded stakes-placed Jamaican Smoke and True Feelings, stakes winner Softly Lit, and stakes-placed Ciguaraya.
