Uncaptured pulls away in Iroquois
Casse was asked if he thinks he will run Uncaptured back in the Grade 2 Kentucky Jockey Club at Churchill Downs on November 24 and he responded, "It's a good possibility." Positively held on for place as 9-5 favorite Overanalyze improved his position to come in third. Strike the Note, Pataky Kid, Five Iron, Heaven's Runway, Triple Cross, Agave Cat and Road Agent completed the order of finish. "My trip could have been better," said jockey Julien Leparoux, who rode Overanalyze. "He broke good, but coming to the turn he got squeezed and we kind of fell back after that. Then we ended up being wide, but he still came back in the stretch. He ran a good race, but he had a tough trip." Uncaptured was undefeated in his first four starts, winning three stakes races in a row before a fifth-place finish in the Grade 3 Grey last time out. The son of Lion Heart returned $11.40, $4.60 and $3.60 to his backers with this return to the winner's circle. With his first graded victory on Sunday he increased his lifetime earnings to $406,845 and now has a career record which reads 6-5-0-0. Bred by William D. Graham, Uncaptured sold for $290,000 as a yearling at the 2011 Keeneland September Yearling Sale. His dam is the Arch mare Captivating, making him a half-brother to multiple stakes winner Dancing Raven. Also from his female side of the family is Grade 2 winner Dundalk Dust and Grade 3 scorer Gentleman Beau. Bet Horseracing Free Online at TwinSpires.com
