Juvenile Fillies threat Dreaming of Julia (A.P. Indy), who had to work hard to preserve her perfect status in the Grade 1 Frizette, clocked :49.10.
Grade 2 Adirondack and Grade 2 Matron queen Kauai Katie (Malibu Moon) negotiated five furlongs in 1:01 2/5 as connections mull her options. Her first preference is to stretch out for the Juvenile Fillies, but she was cross-entered to the Juvenile Sprint.
Also for Pletcher, Filly & Mare Sprint contender Turbulent Descent (Congrats) traveled a half-mile in :48 4/5. The four-time Grade 1 star will try to rebound off a flat fourth in the Grade 2 Gallant Bloom Handicap.
For trainer Mike Hushion, Grade 1 Vosburgh Invitational winner The Lumber Guy (Grand Slam) zipped in :48 1/5 for the Sprint.
Grade 3 Miss Grillo third Manuka Honey (Borrego), unlikely to draw into the Juvenile Fillies Turf from the also-eligible list, posted :49.
Trainer Tom Albertrani sent out his Breeders' Cup duo for works on Belmont's
fast main track.
Classic hopeful Brilliant Speed (Dynaformer) covered four furlongs in :49.01, while Filly & Mare Sprint pre-entrant Belle of the Hall (Graeme Hall) went in :49.08. Grade 1 veteran Brilliant Speed has raced on turf all season, most recently finishing third in the Grade 2 Bowling Green Handicap, and Grade 1-placed Belle of the Hall just earned her third career stakes score in the Valor Lady.
At Santa Anita, Juvenile Fillies threat Executiveprivilege (First Samurai) traveled six panels on the fast main track in 1:14 1/5 for Bob Baffert. The unbeaten winner of the Grade 1 Chandelier (formerly the Oak Leaf) and the Grade 1 Del Mar Debutante worked in company with stablemate Sir Allison (Roman Ruler), who was clocked in 1:14 4/5.
Multiple Grade 1 queen Switch (Quiet American) sizzled her six furlongs in a bullet 1:11 1/5, best of 17 trials at the trip, ahead of the Filly & Mare Sprint. The John Sadler mare shortens up after two unplaced efforts in Grade 1 routes.
"Her work was good," Sadler said of Switch's second straight bullet move. "She's ready to go. She likes this track and she likes this distance."
Ladies' Classic contender Love and Pride (A.P. Indy) and Juvenile
Fillies Turf hopeful Tara from the Cape (Leroidesanimaux) sped a
half-mile in company in :48 for Pletcher. Love and Pride comes off a pair of
Grade 1 victories in the Personal Ensign Invitational and the Zenyatta (formerly
the Lady's Secret), while stakes scorer Tara from the Cape was fourth in the Grade 1 Alcibiades.
Multiple Grade 1 hero Smiling Tiger (Hold That Tiger) scorched a half-mile from the gate in a bullet :46 4/5, swiftest of 30 works at the distance, in advance of the Sprint. He has not raced since winding up fifth when trying to defend his title in the Grade 1 Triple Bend Handicap on June 30.
Sprint rival Trinniberg (Teuflesberg) posted the second-best time in :47 2/5. The Grade 2 Woody Stephens winner was just run down late in the Gallant Bob.

Marathon pre-entrant Commander (Broken Vow) completed his drill in 1:00 2/5. The Troy Taylor charge extended his winning streak to six in the Grade 3 British Columbia Premier's Handicap.
Oak Tree Juvenile Fillies Turf scorer Renee's Queen (After Market) toured six panels in 1:14 for the corresponding Breeders' Cup race.
Over Santa Anita's firm turf, Grade 1 United Nations winner Turbo Compressor (Halo's Image) scampered four furlongs in :47 2/5. Runner-up in the Grade 2 John Henry (formerly Clement L. Hirsch) Turf Championship last out, he is cross-entered to the Turf and Mile.
Grade 1 Spinster queen In Lingerie (Empire Maker) blasted in :46 3/5 on the lawn, perhaps firming up her status for the Filly & Mare Turf. The Pletcher pupil listed the Ladies' Classic as her second preference.
Juvenile Turf contender Gervinho (Unusual Heat), two-for-two after
taking the Zuma Beach, skimmed the weeds in :48 4/5.
Multiple Grade 2 hero Bourbon Bay (Sligo Bay) strode six grassy furlongs in 1:13 2/5 in preparation for the Turf. The Neil Drysdale trainee returned from a layoff to finish eighth in the John Henry.
Multiple Grade 1-placed stakes victress Stormy Lucy (Stormy Atlantic) clocked 1:14 3/5 as she tunes up for the Filly & Mare Turf. She was third in the Grade 1 Rodeo Drive (formerly the Yellow Ribbon) last out.
Turf Sprint hopeful Mizdirection (Mizzen Mast) drilled five-eighths on the weeds in a bullet :59 1/5. The winner of the Grade 3 Monrovia and Clocker's Corner on the same downhill course last winter, she was last seen finishing second in the May 27 Great Lady M. at Hollywood.
Grade 2 diva Reneesgotzip (City Zip), also expected to tackle males in the Turf Sprint, sped in :59 2/5. The Peter Miller filly, who trailed in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Sprint Championship (formerly the Ancient Title), has the Filly & Mare Sprint as her second preference.

Over Hollywood Park's Cushion Track, multiple Grade 2 victor Obviously
(Choisir) motored six panels in 1:12 3/5 in advance of the Mile. Three-for-three
at that trip, the Mike Mitchell charge captured the local prep, the Arroyo Seco
(formerly the Oak Tree) Mile.
John Shirreffs' Filly & Mare Turf pair of Nereid (Rock Hard Ten) and Star Billing (Dynaformer) worked in 1:13 and 1:13 2/5, respectively. Both Grade 1 winners, Nereid was runner-up in the Rodeo Drive in her latest and Star Billing reverts to turf after a poor effort in the Zenyatta on dirt.
Triple Bend scorer Camp Victory (Forest Camp) exercised five-eighths in 1:00 1/5 for the Turf Sprint. He switches surfaces in the wake of his flop in the Santa Anita Sprint Championship.

At Delaware Park, Grade 1 heroine Grace Hall (Empire Maker) ripped a
half-mile in a bullet :47 4/5 in preparation for the Ladies' Classic. A 5
3/4-length romper in the Grade 2 Indiana Oaks last out, the Tony Dutrow filly
posted the fastest of 27 moves at the distance on the fast main track.
At Fair Hill, Turf Sprint contender Next Question (Stormy Atlantic) sped four furlongs over the Tapeta training track in a bullet :48. The Michael Trombetta charge recently earned his way into the Breeders' Cup by upsetting the Grade 1 Nearctic in his stakes debut.
Trombetta's Filly & Mare Sprint hopeful, Strike the Moon (Malibu Moon), likewise fired a bullet, but over the fast main track at Laurel. The multiple Grade 2-placed stakes victress drilled a half-mile in :47 3/5, best of 58 works at the distance. She exits a runner-up effort behind presumptive Filly & Mare Sprint favorite Groupie Doll (Bowman's Band) in the Grade 2 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes.
Alcibiades runner-up Broken Spell (Broken Vow) breezed four furlongs over a muddy track at Churchill Downs in :50 2/5. The D. Wayne Lukas trainee is scheduled to ship to California on Sunday in advance of the Juvenile Fillies.
According to Daily Racing Form, Grade 1 Breeders' Futurity victor Joha (Johar) toured five panels in 1:02 3/5 in the muddy going at the nearby Trackside Louisville. The Mike Maker runner is headed to the Juvenile Turf.
