Bullet Works for Royal Delta, Point of Entry
Royal Delta and Point of Entry, two of the top horses pointing to the Breeders' Cup World Championships Nov. 2-3 at Santa Anita Park, turned in bullet workouts on Oct. 22 at Belmont Park. Royal Delta, who will attempt to win a second straight Breeders' Cup Ladies Classic (gr. I) or could try the Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I), breezed five furlongs in :59.16. The move was the fastest of 12 at the distance on a main track listed as fast. Point of Entry, who will enter the Breeders' Cup Turf (gr. I) off five straight wins including three straight grade I scores, breezed five furlongs in 1:02.71. The move was the fastest of eight at the distance on the yielding turf. Royal Delta is trained by Bill Mott for Besilu Stables, while Point of Entry is conditioned by Shug McGaughey for Phipps Stable.
