The deadline to pre-enter horses for the Nov. 2-3 Breeders’ Cup World Championships is Monday, Oct. 22, with the official announcement of all pre-entered horses and their respective races to be made Oct. 24.
Horses can be pre-entered online or delivered to the Breeders’ Cup racing office at Santa Anita Park or at three international locations by noon (local time at the designated pre-entry location). The three international locations are France GALOP, Weatherbys in England, and Horse Racing Ireland. The online link to pre-enter is at members.breederscup.com.
The complete list of pre-entered horses will be released at 11 a.m. (EDT) Wednesday, Oct. 24, and will be posted immediately at Blood-Horse.com.
Also, the Oct. 27 edition of The Blood-Horse magazine will include past performances for all pre-entered horses as well as feature articles on trainer Bill Mott, Craig Bernick and Glen Hill Farm, medication changes for 2-year-old races, Santa Anita’s main track racing surface, and Santa Anita track announcer Trevor Denman.
Entries for all 15 Breeders’ Cup races close at 10 a.m. (PDT) Oct. 29 and the post positions will be drawn later that day.
