Federal Trial, a graded stakes winner on turf, has been retired and will stand in 2002 at Justaplain Farm near Cochranville, Penn. He will stand as the property of Bridlewood Farm for $2,000 ($1,500 for Pennsylvania-breds).Seven-year-old Federal Trial (Skip Trial -- Royal Angelique, by Diplomat Way) won two turf stakes in Florida as a 4-year-old. He won the Hialeah Turf Cup Handicap (gr. IIT) at Hialeah and the Canadian Turf Handicap (gr. IIIT) at Gulfstream Park.A homebred for Bridlewood owner Arthur I. Appleton, Federal Trial won half of his 14 lifetime starts and earned $445,790.
