Excelebration, who has been a runner-up to Frankel four times and third behind him once, will likely come to the Nov. 3 Breeders' Cup Mile (gr. IT) at Santa Anita Park, trainer Aidan O'Brien said.
The Irish-bred son of Exceed and Excel escaped the shadow of the top-ranked runner when he dominated the Oct. 20 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes (Eng-I) during British Champions Day at Ascot.
"If he's OK and everybody is happy, we'll go to the Breeders' Cup," O'Brien told betfair.com.
With a 7-4-1 record from 13 starts, Excelebration has not finished off the board since his maiden outing when he was fourth at Nottingham in 2010. This year, he has a 3-2 record from five starts for Derrick Smith, Susan Magnier, and Michael Tabor.
Excelebration was bred by Owenstown Stud and is out of the Indian Ridge mare Sun Shower.
