Trainer Kiaran McLaughlin had Godolphin Racing stars Alpha, Emcee, and Questing prepare for the Breeders' Cup World Championships with workouts at Darley's Greentree Training Center on Oct. 19 in Saratoga Springs.
The three grade I winners, all homebreds, each turned in five-furlong breezes on the synthetic surface. Emcee completed the distance in :59 1/5 while Alpha and Questing, working together, finished in 1:01 1/5.
Alpha is being pointed to the Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I), Emcee the XpressBet Breeders' Cup Sprint (gr. I) or Dirt Mile (gr. I), and Questing the Breeders' Cup Ladies' Classic (gr. I).
It's Tricky, another Godolphin runner trained by McLaughlin, has remained at Belmont Park to prepare for either the Ladies' Classic or the Filly and Mare Sprint (gr. I). It's Tricky breezed five furlongs in 1:00 at Belmont Oct. 18.
