First Winner for Bedford Falls

Freshman sire Bedford Falls was represented by his first winner Oct. 18 when There Goes Donnie won by 3 1/2 lengths at Santa Anita Park (VIDEO).

The victory by There Goes Donnie in the $30,000 maiden claiming event was his first win in five starts for owner Blahut Stables and trainer Mike Machowsky. Produced from the winning Cee's Tizzy mare Nora Ellen, Bedford Falls was bred in California by Harris Farms.

A winning 9-year-old son of Forestry, Bedford Falls was produced from the winning Affirmed mare Christmas in Aiken and is a half brother to Harlan's Holiday  , North America's leading sire of 2-year-olds in 2012.

Bedford Falls stands at Poplar Meadows Farm near Sanger, Calif., where his 2012 fee was $2,500.
