Chamberlain Bridge will try to win the Woodford Stakes for the second time in his career.

Veteran turf sprint specialist Chamberlain Bridge, a crowd favorite with three of his 13 stakes wins coming in Kentucky, will try Oct. 6 to win the $150,000 Woodford Stakes presented by Keeneland Select (gr. IIIT) for the second time in his career.

Carl Moore Management's Chamberlain Bridge won the 2008 edition of the Woodford at Keeneland and four years later is still competing with the best turf sprinters in the country. The 8-year-old War Chant   gelding enters off a close second in the Turf Monster Stakes Sept. 3 at Parx Racing after securing his 13th career stakes win in the My Frenchman Stakes a month earlier at Monmouth Park.

Winner of the 2010 Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint (gr. IIT) at Churchill Downs, Chamberlain Bridge has earned $1,875,135 in six seasons of racing. He is trained by Bret Calhoun, who will saddle the veteran turf sprinter before beginning a 30-day suspension Oct. 8 for a positive test in Kentucky for a Class 3 drug.

Paco Lopez, who plans to regularly ride at Keeneland for the first time, will have the mount on Chamberlain Bridge.

Expected to challenge Chamberlain Bridge will be Bridgetown, who won the 5 1/2-furlong Troy Stakes for the second year in a row Aug. 15 on the Saratoga Race Course turf; and Great Mills, who finished third in the Turf Monster and placed second in the Shakertown Stakes (gr. IIIT) at Keeneland in the spring.
