The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association will hold a Thoroughbred Pedigree and Conformation Clinic Monday, Oct. 8, and Tuesday, Oct. 9, in Lexington. The clinic, sponsored by Blood-Horse Publications, will feature conformation presentations and live evaluations as well as pedigree discussions that will include nicking, dosage, outcrossing, and inbreeding. Clinic speakers will include Rob Keck, Susan Martin, Meg Levy, Dermot Ryan, Adrian Wallace, Headley Bell, Dr. John Park, Matt Lyons, Kirt Cahill, and Dr. Chris Cahill. The clinic will feature tours of Ashford Stud, Park Equine Hospital, and Woodford Thoroughbreds. A complete agenda can be viewed here.
The clinic will begin at 8 a.m. (EDT) at the Blood-Horse Publications offices in Lexington. The registration fee for the clinic is $250 for TOBA members and $300 for non-members and includes all support materials, breakfast, and lunch.
