Keeneland has cataloged 3,958 lots (3,957 horses and one stallion share) for its November breeding stock sale. The number is up 1% from last year’s total of 3,919.
The auction will be held Nov. 6-16 in Lexington.
"The November sale is unmatched in terms of the selection of stakes-winning and stakes-producing fillies and mares in foal to the world’s leading sires, as well as foals by today’s most fashionable stallions," said Walt Robertson, Keeneland’s vice president of sales. "That international appeal sets it apart from any other sale of its kind in the world."
This year’s November group includes 1,890 broodmares and broodmare prospects, 1,691 weanlings, and 363 horses of racing age.The broodmares are in foal to such stallions as Bernardini , Blame , Distorted Humor , Empire Maker, Eskendereya , Galileo, Giant's Causeway , Hard Spun , Lookin At Lucky , Malibu Moon , Medaglia d'Oro , Pulpit , Quality Road , Smart Strike , Speightstown , Street Cry, Tapit , Tiznow , Unbridled's Song , Uncle Mo , and War Front .
Stallions with weanlings in the auction include Bernardini, Blame, Cape Cross, Distorted Humor, Eskendereya, Galileo, Giant’s Causeway, Hard Spun, Indian Charlie, Lookin At Lucky, Malibu Moon, Medgalia d’Oro, Pulpit, Quality Road, Raven's Pass, Smart Strike, Speightstown, Street Cry, Tapit, Tiznow, Unbridled’s Song, and War Front.
The catalog can be viewed on Keeneland's website (www.keeneland.com) beginning Oct. 2. Print versions of the catalog will be mailed the week of Oct. 16.
