TheHorse.com will present “Equine Cushing's Disease (PPID),” a free Ask the Vet Live audio and Q&A event on Tuesday, Sept. 18th, at 8 p.m. EDT, sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim.

Experts will discuss caring for the Cushingoid horse, including treatment and management of this common endocrine disorder. Attendees can submit questions to be answered by the experts prior to and during the live presentation by visiting TheHorse.com/Ask-The-Vet-Live or by email at AskTheVet@TheHorse.com.

Presenting this Ask The Vet Live event will be Nicholas Frank, DVM, PhD, Dipl. ACVIM; and Marian G. Little, DVM, of Paris, Ky.

Frank is a professor of large animal internal medicine and chair of the department of clinical sciences at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, Tufts University of Massachusetts. His research interests include laminitis, metabolic disorders, PPID/equine Cushing’s, and many other internal-medicine related areas.

Little is a field equine professional services veterinarian for Boehringer Ingelheim. She joined BI in 2007 and is actively involved in field studies, pipeline products, and conducting continuing education meetings for veterinarians. She serves as primary field technical support for Prascend, the only FDA-approved drug used in treating PPID.
