OBS Fall Mixed Sale Has 420 Horses

The Ocala Breeders' Sales Co. has cataloged 420 horses for its fall mixed sale. The number is down 4.8% from last year's total of 441.

The auction will be held Oct. 16 and 17 in Central Florida. Hip Nos. 1-172 will be offered Oct. 16 during the consignor preferred session, which will start at 1 p.m. (EDT). Hip Nos. 173-420 will be offered Oct. 17 in the open session, which will begin at 10:30 a.m.

There are 168 weanlings in the auction. Their sires include Big Brown  , Congrats  , Majestic Warrior  , Midnight Lute  , Old Fashioned  , Scat Daddy  , Super Saver  , and Tale of Ekati  .

Mares in the sale are in foal to such sires as Colonel John  , Flower Alley  , Kitten's Joy  , Pioneerof the Nile  , Zensational  , and Uncle Mo  .
