Equine Sales of Louisiana announces its grand opening in Opelousas with the 2012 inaugural yearling sale Sept. 5 at 10 a.m. It will feature 282 yearlings recruited from local and national consignors.

"Our new sales pavilion is built with as strong a foundation and structure as our company," said Harold Forman. "Response to the sale catalog has been phenomenal, and we anticipate a tremendous sale on Sept. 5."

Equine Sales of Louisiana will hold a preview gala event party at the pavilion Sept. 4 from 6-9 p.m., giving the patrons an opportunity to tour the new facility, examine yearlings prior to the sale, and join in the grand opening celebration.

"We firmly believe we are setting a new standard for Thoroughbred auctions in Louisiana, and anticipate carrying this forward to our two-year-old sale in the spring of 2013," said Foster Bridewell, sales director of Equine Sales of Louisiana.

Equine Sales of Louisiana employs a fulltime, on-site staff dedicated to promoting Thoroughbred horses and soliciting buyers from around the country. Founded and owned by horsemen to advance the equine industry, Equine Sales of Louisiana is a member-owned and directed sales company. Dedicated to the needs of breeders, owners and consignors, Equine Sales of Louisiana will be conducting auctions throughout the year, offering a complete selection of Thoroughbred horses.

The premier sale facility is located on Harry Guilbeau Rd. in Opelousas, LA.
