Raffle to Benefit TRF's Efforts

A Breeders' Cup World Championships ticket package, box seats at the U.S. Open tennis tournament, and an Apple iPad3 are the prizes in a raffle to benefit the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation. The drawing will be conducted Aug. 31.

The Breeders' Cup package includes four Turf Club box seats and two preferred parking passes for the Nov. 2-3 World Championships at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, Calif. According to raffle promotional material from TRF, the seats are located on the Turf Club's third floor and overlook the finish line. The value of the package is $3,950.

The U.S. Open prize includes seating for four in a courtside box in Row B at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing Meadows, N.Y., and a parking pass, for the Tuesday, Sept. 4 session only.

The iPad3 has Wi-Fi, 32GB, and a 9.7" retina display with Multi-Touch, dual-core A5X chip with quad-core graphics, 5MP iSight camera and FaceTime camera, and 1080p HD video recording. It is valued at $600.

Raffle tickets cost $20 each and can be purchased at the TRF booth at Saratoga Race Course Monday, Aug. 20, by emailing the organization at info@trfinc.org, or by calling TRF at 518-226-0028.

According to the release, all proceeds from the raffle will be used to assist the TRF's efforts in maintaining the more 1,000 retired racehorses under its care.
