One of the most fun things about a select yearling sale is getting to see the siblings of well-known horses. Fasig-Tipton’s Saratoga auction, scheduled for Aug. 6-7 in New York, has a number of half brothers and half sisters to racing royalty in its catalog.

Following is a list of the well-connected yearlings:

Hip No. 13, a colt by Tapit   – Kokadrie, by Coronado's Quest. Consigned by Woodford Thoroughbreds, agent for Cloverleaf Farms II.
This chestnut yearling is a half brother to champion sprinter Kodiak Kowboy (by Posse  ).

Hip No. 25, a filly by Flower Alley – Lisieux, by Steady Growth.  Consigned by Woods Edge Farm, agent.
This chestnut yearling is a half sister to First Lady Stakes (gr. I) winner Never Retreat (by Smart Strike  ).

Hip No. 58, a colt by Street Cry – Quendom, by Interprete. Consigned by Hill ‘n’ Dale Sales Agency, agent.
This bay yearling is a half brother to Invasor   (by Candy Stripes), who was a Horse of the Year and Triple Crown winner in Uruguay and a Horse of the Year in this country.

Hip No. 74, After the Glory, a filly by Unbridled's Song – Sararegal, by Regal Classic. Consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent.
This gray or roan yearling is a half sister to Canadian Horse of the Year Fatal Bullet (by Red Bullet).

Hip No. 91, a colt by Empire Maker – Sluice, by Seeking the Gold. Consigned by Denali Stud, agent.
This colt is a full brother to Juddmonte Spinster Stakes (gr. I) winner Mushka.

Hip No. 134, a filly by Distorted Humor   – Appealing Storm, by Valid Appeal. Consigned by Sweezey & Partners, agent for Chesapeake Farm.
This chestnut yearling is a half sister to Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup Stakes (gr. I) winner Vacare (by Lear Fan).

Hip No. 146, Cry Joy, a colt by Street Cry – Blushing Ogygian, by Ogygian. Consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent.
This bay yearling is a full brother to Street Boss  , winner of the Triple Bend Invitational (gr. I) and Bing Crosby (gr. I) handicaps.

Hip No. 178, a filly by Empire Maker -- Fitted Crown, by Chief's Crown. Consigned by Dromoland Farm, agent.
This bay yearling is a half sister to Excellent Meeting (by General Meeting), winner of the Santa Anita Oaks (gr. I) and the Hollywood Starlet (gr. I), Oak Leaf (gr. I), and Las Virgenes (gr. I) stakes.
