Ashford Stud recently announced a major stud fee change for prominent stallion Hennessy. Instead of $20,000 as originally announced, the 8-year-old stallion will stand for $45,000 in 2002 at the Versailles, Ky., nursery. Hennessy, who stood the 2001 Northern Hemisphere season in Japan, is standing the South Hemisphere season at Coolmore Australia.

Hennessy (Storm Cat -- Island Kitty, by Hawaii) is represented by nine stakes winners this year, including Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I) winner Johannesburg.

Earlier this month, Ashford announced a change for another of its 8-year-old stallions, Louis Quatorze (Sovereign Dancer -- On to Royalty, by On to Glory), whose fee increased to $15,000 from $10,000.
