Delaware Park Cancels July 19 After 2nd Race

The live racing card at Delaware Park was canceled following the second race July 19 after a storm producing intense lightning and heavy showers hit the area.

According to a release from the track, the storm was responsible for heavy rain that affected track conditions.

The track, which had canceled racing July 18 due to intense heat, is scheduled to resume live racing July 21. The card will be highlighted by the $750,000 Delaware Handicap (gr. II).
