Grade II winner Horse Greeley sired his first winner when his 2-year-old daughter Cowgirl Greeley won a maiden special weight race at Canterbury Park July 14.
The filly captured the five-furlong race by 2 3/4 lengths in 1:00.63 for owners Scott and Olivia Bethke.
Bred in Kentucky by Joel Kligman, Cowgirl Greeley is out of the On to Glory mare Sporty Card and is a half sister to stakes winners Jersey Giant and Salary Drive.
Horse Greeley (Mr. Greeley—Chile Chatte, by Storm Cat) stands at the Hancock family’s Claiborne Farm near Paris, Ky. His 2012 fee was $5,000.
