Making his second career start, Michael Tabor's 2-year-old colt Tinardi earned his first career win by beating nine other juveniles in the Independent Heinz 57 Phoenix Stakes (Ire-I) Sunday at Leopardstown. The son of Boundary completed the six furlongs, run over good turf, in 1:12 1/5 while winning by five lengths over Superstar Leo. 3-1 favorite Dora Carrington was third, followed by Longueville Legend. Tinardi was bred in Kentucky by Indian Creek and is trained by Aidan O'Brien. Michael Kinane was in the irons.
