TVG will present live, on-site television coverage of the Iowa Festival of Racing from Prairie Meadows in Altoona, Iowa, this weekend. The event features a trio of grade III races: the $300,000 Prairie Meadows Cornhusker Handicap, $250,000 Iowa Derby, and $200,000 Iowa Oaks—all scheduled for June 30.
The weekend coverage kicks off the night before with three stakes: $125,000 Iowa Sprint Handicap, $100,000 Iowa Distaff, and $100,000 Saylorville. First post each night is 7:30 p.m. CT.
TVG's Matt Carothers will be at Prairie Meadows both days and will provide handicapping selections and racing commentary.
"With three graded stakes and total purse money in excess of $1 million, the Iowa Festival of Racing has helped establish Prairie Meadows as an important Midwestern racing hub," said Tony Allevato, TVG executive vice president, in a release.
