Go Gold became Mine for Gold’s first winner when he captured the Lincoln Futurity at Lincoln Race Course June 24 in his initial outing. Campaigned by the colt’s breeder, Herb Riecken, in partnership with H and N Stables, Go Gold won the 4 1/2-furlong stakes by three-quarters of a length in :53.80.

A Nebraska-bred, Go Gold is out of the stakes-winning Lytrump mare Statsie’s Charmer and is a half brother to stakes winner Justabit Shawklit. Statsie’s Charmer is one of five stakes winners out of stakes winner Statsie.

Go Gold is one of six juveniles by Mine for Gold, who placed in three of four starts.

Mine for Gold (Mineshaft  Gold Mover, by Gold Fever) stands at Westermann Thoroughbreds near Scribner, Neb. His fee is private.
