First Winners Noted for Sire Spring at Last

Grade I winner Spring At Last   has already sired two winners from his first crop of 2-year-olds to race, including the impressive filly Seaneen Girl, who won handily by 5 ¾ lengths at first asking June 22 at Woodbine (VIDEO).

Seaneen Girl settled off the early pace before rallying on the turn and taking full control of the race straightening for home. The chestnut filly widened her advantage to mid-stretch before being geared down late. The final time for the 4 1/2-furlong heat on the Polytrack was :52.90.

Spring At Last's first winner came recently in Mexico when his 2-year-old colt Cartucho debuted victoriously. Earlier this week, Spring At Last sired the top juvenile filly at the OBS June Sale, which sold for $320,000 after breezing a bullet quarter in :20 4/5.

A grade I winning millionaire and world-class miler on the racetrack, Spring At Last scored his biggest career wins in the Donn Handicap (gr. I) at Gulfstream Park and Godolphin Mile (UAE-II) in Dubai. He retired to stud at WinStar Farm with earnings of $1,139,150.

Spring At Last is by Silver Deputy out of the top producer Winter's Gone, by Dynaformer, and is a half-brother to grade I winner Sharp Lisa and multiple graded stakes winner Sharp Susan. Spring At Last is standing at WinStar for a fee of $7,500, stands and nurses.
