Lexington-based Hammond Communications Group has renewed an agreement to provide media support services for the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
According to a release from HCG, the multi-year agreement includes this year’s event Nov. 2-3 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, Calif., and the 2013 championships to be held at an as yet unannounced location.
Since 2009, HCG has produced the Breeders’ Cup World Championships newsfeed that is transmitted via satellite to news agencies worldwide.
“Hammond Communications Group has worked with Breeders’ Cup in one capacity or another for more than 24 years—since the 1988 event at Churchill Downs,” said Peter Rotondo, vice president of media and entertainment for Breeders’ Cup. “Hammond has been one of our longest standing vendors and we consider them definitely more of a partner and collaborator than anything else.”
“We consider the Breeders’ Cup a foundation client and part of the DNA of Hammond Communications Group,” said Jesse B. Kelsey, vice president of production for HCG.
