Louis Quatorze's Fee Upped to $15,000

Louis Quatorze, who was scheduled to stand the 2002 season for $10,000, has had his fee boosted to $15,000. The 1996 Preakness (gr. I) winner, whose first-crop progeny earnings of more than $660,000 rank in the top five, is represented by multiple graded stakes winner Repent and grade II stakes-placed Silent Fred. Repent won the Kentucky Jockey Club (gr. II) and Kentucky Cup Juvenile (gr. III) Stakes and ran second in the Bessemer Trust Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I). Louis Quatorze, who stood last breeding season for $10,000, stands at Ashford Stud near Versailles, Ky.
