Grade I winner Richard's Kid is scheduled to make his first start in the United States in more than 20 months in the $70,000 Prove It Stakes June 8 at Betfair Hollywood Park. The race is a 1 3/8-mile event over Hollywood’s synthetic Cushion Track surface.

Owned by Zabeel Racing International Corporation and back in the stable of Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert, Richard’s Kid has been running – with no success – in the United Arab Emirates. The 7-year-old son of Lemon Drop Kid   and the Broad Brush mare Tough Broad was 0-for-5 between March 3, 2011 and March 31, 2012 at Meydan Race Course.

When previously trained by Baffert, Richard’s Kid won four of 11 races, including consecutive victories (2009 and 2010) in the Pacific Classic (gr. I) at Del Mar. The dark bay has won nine of 32 overall and earned $1,783,395.
