Dr. Kendall Hansen and Skychai Racing’s Hansen   turned in a bullet work at Churchill Downs’ Trackside Training Center in Kentucky June 2.

With regular exercise rider Joel Barrientos aboard, the 3-year-old colt covered five furlongs in 1:00 1/5 over fast footing on Trackside’s six-furlong training oval.

A gray/roan son of Tapit  , Hansen is scheduled to run in the Woody Stephens Stakes (gr. II) on the Belmont Stakes (gr. I) undercard at Belmont Park June 9.

Maker said the colt would board a plane bound for New York June 6 for his first start since a ninth-place finish in the May 5 Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) .

The latest move by 2011’s champion 2-year-old male was the fastest of 18 at the distance.

“He worked super as always,” trainer Mike Maker said.
