Bustin Stones' First Starter Wins at Belmont

Bustin Stones  , an unbeaten grade I winner, got off to a hot start as a sire when his first starter won a maiden special weight race at Belmont Park May 23 in her initial outing. Bustinattheseams, a 2-year-old filly campaigned by Bourque Goldstein Thoroughbreds, set the pace on the way to a 1 3/4-length score in 1:00.56 for five furlongs over a muddy track (VIDEO).

Bred in New York by Eaton and Thorne, Bustinattheseams is the fourth winner from the unraced Silver Deputy mare Land On Your Feet, whose second dam is French champion Play It Safe.

Bustin Stones (City Zip  —Shesasurething, by Prospectors Gamble) won six starts, five of which were stakes, including the 2008 Carter Handicap (gr. I) and the General George Handicap (gr. II). He stands for $2,500 at Dr. Jerry Bilinski’s Waldorf Farm near North Chatham, N.Y.
