Mutafaweq to Wood Farm Stud in England

English and German champion Mutafaweq, who won the 2000 Canadian International Stakes (Can-IT) at Woodbine, has been retired from racing and will take up stallion duty at Bill Bromley's Wood Farm Stud in Shropshire, England, for £2,500. A 5-year-old son of Silver Hawk, Mutafaweq won seven of 19 races and earned $1,800,801 in four years of racing. Mutafaweq, who was produced from the Caerleon mare The Caretaker, scored group I wins in the classic Rothmans Royal St. Leger Stakes as well as in the Vodafone Coronation Cup and the WGZ Bank-Deutschland-Preis.
