Private Vow Sires Initial Winner

Private Vow, a multiple grade II winner, came through with his first winner when his daughter Private Rebel won at Evangeline Downs May 17 in her first start.

Racing for A. Philip Henderson, Private Rebel captured the 4 1/2-furlong maiden special weight race by 1 1/4 lengths in :53.99.

Bred in Louisiana by Channon Farm out of the winning Honour and Glory mare Rebel Gal, Private Rebel is a half sister to stakes winner Gone Rebel and stakes-placed Rebel Queen, both fillies.

Private Vow (Broken Vow  —Smooth as Silk, by Deputy Minister) won the Futurity Stakes (gr. II) and the Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes (gr. II) at 2. He stands for $2,000 at Jay Adcock’s Red River Farms near Coushatta, La.
