A memorial service for jockey Eddie Razo Jr. will take place in Arlington Heights, Ill., May 15.
Razo Jr., a well-known rider on the Midwest circuit, was found dead following the extinguishing of a garage fire at his home in Long Grove, Ill., April 24.
Visitation for the late jockey will be from 3-7 p.m. at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. A service with prayer and eulogies is slated for 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born in Mexico City, Razo immigrated to the United States in 1986. In his career, he had 2,962 wins from 24,270 mounts for earnings of $64,011,843.
Some of Razo’s best efforts came aboard graded stakes victors Rocket Twentyone, Caleb's Posse , It's No Joke, Lord of the Game, Eye of the Tiger, and Shadowbdancing.
