AmericaTab, an online wagering company owned by two Ohio racetracks -- Beulah Park and River Downs -- has added Northfield Park to its stable. The northern Ohio harness track has been approved as an equity partner in AmericaTab by the Oregon Racing Commission.
Northfield Park will be able to develop its own account wagering system through AmericaTab.
"We are very excited about Northfield Park becoming part of our family of affiliates," said Mike Weiss, executive vice president of AmericaTab and general manager of Beulah Park. "This arrangement will provide Northfield Park with the account wagering capabilities it needs to stay competitive and better serve its market."
Northfield offers year-round live harness racing and full-card simulcasting. Its signal is exported throughout the country.
"Our affiliation with AmericaTab provides significant new opportunities for growth," said Tom Aldrich, chief operating officer for Northfield Park. "This affiliation will substantially widen our market and national presence."
AmericaTab, founded in 1994, is an account wagering provider whose hub is located in Oregon. The company's other affiliates are Winticket.com, Brisbet.com, and tsnBet.com. Officials said more affiliates will be added in the near future.
