An overflow field of 21 passed the entry box the morning of May 2 for the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) May 5. The field for the 138th Run for the Roses is restricted to 20 horses based on graded stakes earnings. Also-eligibles are allowed for the first time this year.

Racing regulations prevent the Churchill Downs racing office from presenting entered horses; however the Churchill Downs Press Office has confirmed the 21 horses. My Adonis is the 21st horse on the list by graded earnings.

It costs $25,000 to enter in the Derby, with another $25,000 due to start.

Post postions will be drawn later this afternoon from 5-6 p.m. and will be televised on the NBC Sports Network.
