Canadian trainer Joe Attard died Nov. 20 at a Toronto hospital from cancer. He was 68.

Joe Attard trained eight stakes winners. One of his runners, Wayover, missed winning the 1981 Queen's Plate Stakes by a nose. Wayover was ridden by Larry Attard, who started training last year.
