My Adonis, currently 22nd on the graded stakes earnings list among horses still under consideration for the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I), breezed five furlongs at Monmouth Park April 29.

George and Lori Hall’s Pleasantly Perfect   colt went five furlongs in 1:01 3/5 under regular rider Elvis Trujillo.

“He worked fine, no big deal,” trainer Kelly Breen said. “He’s ready to go whatever transpires the next three days. Sit and wait. That’s all you can do is sit and wait.”

My Adonis is coming off a seventh-place finish in the Resorts World Casino New York City Wood Memorial Stakes (gr. I) April 7. He started twice previously this year, finishing third in the Holy Bull Stakes (gr. III) Jan. 29 and second in the Gotham Stakes (gr. III) March 3. The bay colt's career record stands at 2-4-1 in nine starts with earnings of $311,000.

Breen said no travel arrangements to Kentucky have been made for My Adonis, winner of the Jean Lafitte Stakes  as a 2-year-old. He said that he would talk with the Halls April 30 to formulate a plan.

The Derby field is limited to 20 starters but, for the first time, an also-eligible list will allow up to four horses to enter and perhaps make the field should any scratches be announced between entries and 9 a.m. Friday, May 4.

Trujillo will be named to ride.
