A field of seven was entered Tuesday for the $250,000-added Falls City (gr. III), which will be run on Thanksgiving Day at Churchill Downs. The field includes six grade I winners and three Breeders' Cup champions in Unbridled Elaine (2001Distaff), Spain (2000 Distaff and 2001 Distaff runner-up) and Caressing (2000 Juvenile Fillies).

The stellar Falls City field lost a starter, but little of its luster, when trainer Julio Canani elected to keep Tranquility Lake at home in Southern California. The winner of the Clement L. Hirsch (gr. II) on dirt and the 2000 Yellow Ribbon (gr. I) on turf had been schedule to fly to Louisville on Wednesday.

Falls City Works
Amerman Racing's Printemps tuned up for her Falls City run with a sharp five-furlong breeze on Monday. The Ron McAnally-trained Chilean-bred breezed five furlongs in :59 1/5, the fastest of 16 works on the day. Ackerley Brothers Farm's Miss Linda, winner of Keeneland's Overbrook Spinster (GI), arrived at Churchill Downs on Tuesday following a flight from trainer John Kimmel's base at Belmont Park.
