Beautiful Pleasure to Thunder Gulch

John C. Oxley announced that his champion Beautiful Pleasure will be bred next year to leading sire Thunder Gulch. Six-year-old Beautiful Pleasure (Maudlin--Beautiful Bid, by Baldski) was retired in October with $2.7 million in earnings. She won six grade I stakes, including the 1999 Breeders' Cup Distaff (gr. I). Thunder Gulch, sire of Horse of the Year candidate Point Given, will stand in 2002 for $80,000.
