The non-jury trial in the lawsuit of owner Michael Gill and trainer Anthony Adamo in U.S. Middle District Court in Pennsylvania has ended, leaving the case in the hands of Judge Sylvia Rambo.

The trial began April 23. Gill and Adamo, through attorney Alan Pincus, sued the Pennsylvania Horse Racing Commission over their ejection from Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in February 2010.

According to the Harrisburg, Pa., Patriot-News, former PHRC executive secretary Michael Dillon testified he didn’t investigate before ejecting the two men in connection with a threatened boycott from jockeys at the track. State attorneys argued Dillon followed regulations concerning “orderly” conduct at racetracks.

Gill, who was leading owner by wins at Penn National, is no longer in the Thoroughbred business. Adamo contends the situation has damaged his career.
