Irish champion Henrythenavigator sired his first winner when his daughter Infanta Branca won April 22 at the Curragh. She is trained by Aidan O’Brien.

The filly, ridden by O’Brien’s son Joseph, was the odds-on favorite in the five-furlong maiden race. She is out of the graded stakes-winning Vanlandingham mare Totemic and is a half sister to three stakes winners including grade II winner Lil's Lad and Irish group III winner Cherokee.

Aidan O’Brien told www.irishracing.com: "She is very fast and exciting. Like a lot of our other Henrythenavigator 2-year-olds, she has his speed. We always thought a lot of her. Joseph said she hit the gates and was there (in front) very early but let her stride on. She will go for the Listed Marble Hill Stakes next."

Henrythenavigator (Kingmambo—Sequoyah, by Sadler's Wells) won three group I stakes in England and one in Ireland. He finished second in the 2008 Breeders’ Cup Classic (gr. I). He stands for $25,000 at Ashford Stud near Versailles, Ky.
