Storm Cat’s son, Seeking the Dia, four-time group stakes winner, earner of over $5 million, and managed by Hill ‘n’ Dale Farm sired his first North American winner on April 19th (VIDEO).
Seeking Payday won a maiden special weight at Lone Star Park as the favorite, with the colt drawing clear by 2 3/4 lengths.
“We have five serious sires who have first-crop runners this year. It’s delightful to see that Seeking the Dia is off to a fast start," said John G. Sikura Jr., president of Hill ‘n’ Dale Farm, who manages Seeking the Dia, who now stands at Agricola Mantacilla in Chile. The farm also is watching the first crop of runners this year from Indygo Shiner, Midnight Lute , Heatseeker , and Harlington . "The first-out winner represents a propitious beginning for the freshmen five that are under Hill ‘n’ Dale’s management.”
