Reveron Tops Coolmore Lexington Nominees

Reveron

Florida Derby (gr. I) runner-up Reveron is the top name among 49 horses nominated to $200,000 Coolmore Lexington (gr. III) at Keeneland April 21. The race for 3-year-olds will be contested at 1 1/16 miles on the main track.

Trained by Agustin Bezara for Stipa Racing Stable, Reveron has $220,000 in graded stakes earnings, a figure that is close to the cutoff line of the top 20 earners under consideration for the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I). The Coolmore Lexington’s winner’s share is $120,000.

A son of Songandaprayer  , Reveron has won or placed in all seven career starts and earned $324,460. Among his three victories was the ungraded Gulfstream Park Derby on New Year’s Day at Gulfstream Park Racing & Casino.

According to Keeneland stakes coordinator Scott Jones, other horses under consideration for the Coolmore Lexington are Arm Force, Golden Ticket, Holiday Promise, Stirred Up, and Summer Front.
